The Central Luzon State University through the Institute for Climate and Environmental Management (ICCEM) joins the nation in the observance of the fourth quarter online simultaneous earthquake drill (NSED) held last November 11, 2021.

The said activity, conducted quarterly, is spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) NDRRMC Civil Defense PH to test the institutional capacities and individual awareness relative to the earthquake preparedness and response of many Filipinos.

Considering the current situation, the ICCEM just produced an audio-video presentation (AVP) containing the University’s earthquake drill while observing health precautionary measures and guides. One of the highlights in the AVP was the emergency response when disaster happens. It also showcased the importance of acting together to prevent and reduce disasters, while continuously developing empowered citizens and resilient communities.

The drill serves as a reminder to the public to continuously give importance to disaster preparedness.
